„Herzl Tivadar Színház” – „Theater Herzl” néven, új magyar zsidó színház alapítását. Közleményükben kiemelik, kettős célt tűztek maguk elé. Egyrészt a magyar és nemzetközi zsidó irodalom ritkán vagy egyáltalán nem ismert alkotásait tűzik műsorukra, másrészt pedig szeretnének stabil színházi bázist, anyagi hátteret, infrastruktúrát létre hozni a jövőben, melyben számítanak a Magyar Kormány és a Nemzetközi Zsidó szervezetek támogatására! Magyarország a második világháború előtt rendelkezett zsidó színházakkal, amelyek a vészkorszak után teljesen megszűntek. Jelenleg, vállalva a zsidó témájú előadásokat egyedül a Kazán István Kamaraszínház és a Gólem színház játszik a zsidóság számára autentikus színházi darabokat de sajnos egyik színház sem, rendelkezik stabil anyagi, vagy infrastrukturális bázissal. A színház vezetője elmondta, a darabok kiválasztását már elkezdték, de a legfontosabb hogy létrejöjjön egy olyan magyar és nemzetközi összefogás, amely lehetővé teszi a leendő zsidó színház megalakulását. A zsidó színház játszási helyét Budapestre tervezik, de azt a lehetőséget sem zárja ki, hogy egy vidéki város ad helyet és támogatást a zsidó színháznak, kamaraszínházként. A darabokat jiddis, angol és magyar nyelven szeretnék bemutatni, ez a leendő színészek nyelvtudásának lesz majd a függvénye. Fontosnak tartja továbbá hogy nem csak zsidó színházi produkciók, hanem a zsidó bölcselet, irodalom és a film is megjelenjen a repertoárban, mint például az „Isten pere” című film színpadi adaptációja. De terveik közt szerepel nemzetközi zsidó színházi találkozó, valamint nagy amerikai zeneszerzők sorozat bemutatása, mint George Gershwin, Cole Porter, Leonard Bernstein zeneszerzők műveinek önálló estként. Founding a new Hungarian Jewish theater.

“Herzl Theater” Theater Herzl”. In their announcement, they point out that they have set themselves a dual purpose. On the one hand, they willing to put pieces on stage from Hungarian and international Jewish literature which rarely or even does not known, and on the other hand they want to create a stable theater base, financial background, infrastructure in the future, which count on the support of the Hungarian Government and the International Jewish organizations! Hungary had Jewish theaters before World War II, which were completely eliminated after the epoch. At present, Kazan István Chamber Theater and the Gólem Theater are the only ones who play Jewish-themed performances, but unfortunately none of the theaters have a stable material or infrastructure base. The Jewish theater is planned to be based in Budapest, but it does not exclude the possibility that a rural town will provide space and support for the Jewish theater as a chamber theater. The theater would like to present the pieces in Yiddish, English and Hungarian, which will depend on the language skills of the prospective actors. The theater also considers it important that not only Jewish theatrical productions, but also Jewish philosophy, literature and film appear in the repertoire, such as the stage adaptation of the film “God’s Family”. But their plans include an international Jewish theatrical meeting and a series of great American composers as George Gershwin, Cole Porter, and Leonard Bernstein composers as an independent evening.
